Rach x, trading name of This is Rachel Pedder is a start up textile and surface pattern design enterprise designed and curated by myself. I create a range of unique surface pattern designs for apparel and accessories using UK based manufacturers. This is a part time business I am working on in between freelance assignments.

Artists Residency: DE LICEIRAS 18, Porto, Portugal.
November 2015 – March 2016.
DE LICEIRAS 18 is an experimental, independent, artist-run space located in an old residential house in the center of Porto, Portugal. Every month they host a group of international artists looking for a place to expand their practice. During my time here I’ve was working on my own personal surface pattern designs, screenprinting and skills development portfolio.

Freelance Graphic Designer for Exterion Media, Central London.
Exterion Media is a leading Outdoor media company with wide range of advertising solutions spanning roadside and pedestrian environments, transport networks and retail spaces. They needed a print designer to design a 60 page magazine from concept to print.Exterion Media needed a magazine created to promote their London film portfolio. There were no branding guidelines to follow so the layout and style was created from scratch. This included creating icons, infographics, designing the layout, typesetting and preparing the artwork for print.

Freelance Print Designer for Analog Folk, Central London.
An ongoing client Analog Folk is a global creative agency in central London. I’ve worked on a variety of assignments as a print designer including pitch presentations, interactive PDFs and printed booklets.

Freelance Graphic Designer for Isobel Advertising, Central London.
Isobel Advertising are an independent & award winning ad & content agency based in the heart of London. I’ve worked with Isobel on a variety of occasions helping with a variety of print collateral.

Freelance Print Designer for AIA Central London.
AIA required a freelance artworker on a 4 week contract to work on a variety of print assignments including designing and artworking brochures, presentations, icons, Photoshop retouching and editing.

Freelance Graphic Designer for Lebara, Central London.
Lebara required a print designer to join their design team on a rolling two month contract. This included designing, amending or typesetting a range of flyers, brochures and exhibition stands.

Freelance Conceptual Designer for CBRE, Central London.
CBRE is the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm serving owners, investors and occupiers. They needed a conceptual designer in their London headquarters to create a collection of advertisment concepts to promote a selection of their case studies.

Freelance Graphic Designer for Endemol UK, Greater London.
Endemol required a print designer to work on a range of print and branding assignments including putting together presentation booklets and branding idendity for other departments within the company.

Freelance Graphic Designer for Middlesex University, Greater London.
Middlesex University required a print designer to work on a university exhibition from concept to print. The exhibition for the National Student Survey included pop up and static exhibition stands as well as stationary such as branded t-shirts and business cards.

Freelance Graphic Designer for Canonical, Central London.
Canonical required a freelance print designer to put together a ‘How to’ booklet to guide new consumers through the launch of their new Ubuntu mobile. The assignment included designing and artworking from an approved template within their branding guidelines.


Freelance Graphic Designer for Posterscope, Central London.
Posterscope required a print designer to support their small in-house team working on a pitch document for L’oreal Travel retail. This included designing and typesetting brochure layouts and preparing artwork for print.

Freelance Graphic Designer for Condé Nast UK, Central London.
Condé Nast required a Creative Designer on maternity cover to work within their circulation department. This management role covered a broad range of both print and digital campaigns for their major publishing magazines, including Vogue, Tatler, Condé Nast Traveller and House & Garden. This varied role ranged from desiging and creating from scratch digital email campaigns, animated web banners to point of sale printed advertisments and magazine packaging. Freelance Creative Artworker for Saatchi & Saatchi, Central London.

Saatchi & Saatchi required a Creative Artworker to work on their Head & Shoulders and Olay accounts within the central London office. My main job responsibilites included developing advertising campaigns from scamps.

Freelance Graphic Designer and Creative Artworker for Public Life, Central London.
Public Life specialises in powerful communications for non-profits. They needed a print designer to put together a printed booklet for All We Can who help people in some of the world’s poorest communities by investing in partnerships that improve quality of life. The booklet required a full revised layout with new imagery including full typesetting and preparing artwork for print. The project was very well received by their client and Public Life.

Freelance Graphic Designer for Crew Clothing, Earlsfield, London.

I was working within the in-house design team designing new layouts for the up and coming Spring 2014 clothing catalogue.

Freelance Graphic Designer for Pepper Corporation, Central London.
I was working within the agency design team on a broad range print based assignments for clients such as Sky and Grant Thornton.
Freelance Designer at Architas Multi-Manager Ltd.
I worked for Architas on a few occassions on a range of print assignments including typesetting, designing and artworking brochures.

Freelance Creative Designer at The Guardian Newspaper Ltd.
Guardian Labs required a print designer to work within their design team in central London. This publishing assignment included designing and typesetting a collection of newspaper article advertisments.

Freelance Artworker for CMC Markets, Central London.

I was working within the in-house marketing department at CMC Markets designing and artworking a range of corporate documents and brochures from concept to print. This included design and typesetting for a range of interactive web PDFs and print covering the UK, France, Italy, Sweden and Spain.

Freelance Graphic Designer for JLT Group, Central London.
I was supporting the in-house design team as a graphic designer at Jardine Lloyd Thompson, working on a broad range print based projects including company brochures and newsletters.

Freelance Concept / Point of Sale Designer for Fish Pie Creative, Central London.

Fish Pie Creative is a fast paced creative agency based in central London. I was employed to develop creative point of sale concepts for the Italian restaurant group, Strada.

Freelance Digital and Print Designer for Immediate Media, Central London.

I was working within the design team at Immediate Media Co. as a digital and print designer creating a range of website mock ups, banner graphics, branding guidelines and icons.
Freelance (Digital) iPad Graphic Designer for Immediate Media, Central London.
I was working within the design team at Immediate Media Co. as a digital designer creating the first iPad application for the Radio Times. The job included creating layouts and interactions within Indesign and Pressrun. This Christmas edition was published on 22nd December 2012.
Freelance Graphic Designer for Transport for London, Central London.
I was working as a freelance graphic designer and creative artworker for Transport for London’s creative design team. Projects included a wide range of print media for the London 2012 Olympics, including Olympic signage, brochures and publishing articles for the Metro newspaper.
July 2010 – February 2012; Axios Systems: Graphic / Web Assistant, Edinburgh
I was working within a busy marketing department for a global IT Service Management software company on a variety of print and web based projects from concept to print. This included company product brochures, case studies, magazine and web based advertisements, promotional photography at in-house events, user interface graphics and event stand graphics globally. I am also responsible for all the print buying including preparing and sending artwork for print.

I was working on a variety of in-house projects including exhibition stands and brochures. Plus additional sponsorship projects including packaging and merchandise for the David Hockney exhibition and We Are Tennis.com.
