Immediate Media is a new force in consumer media. Formerly BBC Magazines, Origin Publishing and Magicalia, they have more than 1 million subscribers and a global online reach of 21 million. They wanted to launch a Christmas pilot edition of their weekly Radio Times as digital iPad app.
Working within their design team in central London as a digital designer, my job responsibilites were to assist with the digital layouts of the Radio Times printed magazine and additional interactions using Indesign CS6. The final artwork was exported to App Studio (previously known as PressRun) a cloud-based HTML5 solution that turns print into interactive tablet and smartphone applications.
The Christmas edition was published on 22nd December 2012 and received very good feedback from customers and the team at Immediate Media.
